Engagement Models

Three ways to work together. Zero software overhead.

How you buy our time should match how you need the work delivered. Allocated seats for sustained production. Hourly for discrete projects. Fixed-fee for turnkey delivery. Every model ships with a US Project Executive, two-tier QA/QC, and the entire Autodesk AEC Collection. On us.

01. Allocated Resources

Dedicated team, by the month.

You get a named BIM professional (or a team of them), embedded in your workflow at full capacity, billed monthly.

  • Dedicated, named team members
  • Monthly billing; heavily discounted rate, one-month minimum per resource
  • 30 days' notice to scale up or down
  • Integrated into your weekly rituals
  • Same resource stays across projects
Ideal forSustained production needs and ongoing backlogs.
02. Project Hourly

Per-project, with an NTE budget.

Engagement scoped to a specific project or deliverable. Hours tracked daily in the dashboard, capped at a not-to-exceed number you set.

  • Per-project engagement
  • Not-to-exceed budget. A hard cap
  • No monthly commitment
  • Live hours in the client dashboard
  • Daily visibility; weekly summary
Ideal forDiscrete deliverables with a defined scope.
03. Fixed-Fee

Turnkey. Flat price. Our risk.

A single price for a defined deliverable. We underwrite the production risk. Budget certainty on your side, performance on ours. The engagement model behind Project Catalyst.

  • Flat, transparent fee
  • Budget certainty. No scope creep
  • All production risk on us
  • Deliverable-based, not hour-based
  • Backcheck at a flat rate, when ready.
Ideal forCD reviews, template builds, and one-off scopes.
Included in every engagement

Onboarding

5-day ramp

Your standards, templates, families, and title blocks loaded in week one. Operational within 5 business days.

Flexibility

30-day flex

Scale up or down with 30 days' notice. No severance, no unemployment, no COBRA, no hardware, no retention risk.

The economics. In plain math

A BIM tech on your payroll is only billable 65% of the time.

Principals don't forget this, but the number still surprises. A BIM technician at a $67,000 base salary, loaded with benefits, overhead, training, software, and utilization gaps, costs roughly $77.71 per billable hour. Fully loaded, before a single line is drawn.

ProCatalyst eliminates the utilization risk entirely. You pay for production hours, not PTO, not training time, not the Friday afternoon the software license update took. When a project ends, the seat unwinds. No severance. No backlog pressure to absorb.

Frequently asked

Questions principals ask before engaging.

Can we start with one resource and grow?

Yes. Most allocated engagements begin with a single BIM professional for a month, prove out the workflow, then expand. We don't require a minimum team size and we don't price-gate growth.

What's the notice to reduce or pause the engagement?

Thirty days for Allocated Resources. None for Project Hourly. When the project ends, the engagement ends. Fixed-fee is deliverable-based.

Do we have to provide software licenses?

No. We license the Autodesk AEC Collection, Bluebeam, and Microsoft 365 for every seat on your engagement. Your cost for software is zero.

Can we see hours in real time?

Yes. Every engagement includes client dashboard access at dashboard.procatalyst.com. Hours, task breakdowns, weekly highlights up to the end of the prior week. Filter by project, office, or date. Export anytime.

Who's on the US side of the engagement?

A dedicated US Project Executive. A US Architect or Senior Discipline Lead owns your account. They're your single point of accountability, available in US business hours, and they stay with the client across projects.
